Sudhir Agrawal, D. Phil. ׀ Director
Dr. Agrawal currently serves as Idera’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer. Since joining the Company in 1990, Dr. Agrawal has served in various capacities including Vice President of Discovery, Senior Vice President of Discovery, and Acting Chief Executive Officer. He was appointed Chief Scientific Officer in January 1993, President in February 2000, and Chief Executive Officer in August 2004. Dr. Agrawal received his D. Phil. in Chemistry in 1980 and carried out his post-doctoral research at the Medical Research Council's Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, U.K. Dr. Agrawal is a member of the editorial board of Antisense Research & Development Journal, Trends in Molecular Medicine, Investigational Drug Journal, and Current Cancer Drug Targets, and is associate editor of Molecular Biotechnology. Dr. Agrawal is a co-author of more the 260 research papers/reviews, has edited three books and has co-authored more than 300 patents, issued or pending worldwide.
