Idera Pharmaceuticals is a clinical stage biotechnology company engaged in the discovery and development of novel drug candidates for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and cancer and for use as vaccine adjuvants.

Our drug candidates are designed to modulate specific Toll-like Receptors (TLRs), which are a family of immune system receptors that direct immune system responses. Our focus is on compounds targeted to TLRs 3, 7, 8, and 9.

Idera’s pipeline also includes partnered programs for the treatment of cancer, with Merck KGaA, and for vaccine adjuvants with Merck & Co. as well as proprietary programs for the treatment of hematologic cancers, infectious diseases, respiratory diseases and additional vaccine adjuvants.

Idera also is evaluating gene-silencing oligonucleotide (GSO) technology for the purpose of inhibiting the expression of disease-associated genes by targeting RNA. Importantly, GSOs do not require use of delivery enhancement technologies for systemic applications.
