Idera’s focus is on creating new drugs based on its nucleic acid chemistry expertise that began with the Company’s pioneering antisense research.

Idera translated the knowledge from its early efforts in antisense technology to create several TLR-targeted drug candidates that span a broad range of therapeutic applications and is now focusing its internal efforts on autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and cancer. Based on the insights gained from the Company’s early antisense work, and its more recent experience with TLR-targeted compounds, Idera has also invented a novel gene-silencing oligonucleotide (GSO) technology that has the potential to overcome key limitations of other gene-silencing technologies. As always, Idera is committed to improving the lives of patients through a science-driven approach to the creation of new medicines.
